What We Do

Biogenesis is an interdisciplinary student club at TUM that focuses on bioactive compounds and their scientific evaluation. In our Presentations and discussions, we explore substances like Ashwagandha, methylene blue, or creatine – compounds and their effects are often meantioned but rarely properly understood. We engage with the latest scientific research, examining the available studies, areas of application, and potential benefits. This creates a space where complex topics are communicated clearly and discussed thoughtfully and critically. At the same time, participants are introduced to new substances that might be of personal interest to them.
Biogenesis stands for solid knowledge, curiosity, and the commitment to approach current topics with scientific depth and critical thinking in a time of quick facts without further understanding.

Who can join ?

Students from all universities are welcome. Priority for active membership is given to those in fields like life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or psychology.

What are application deadline ?

There is currently no fixed deadline- applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. However early application is encouraged.

How high is the level of initial comitment

The initial commitment is low. New members are invited to join our discussions and are asked to give a presentaion about topic of their intrest. There is however the option to get more involved over time if they wish.
